The Villa
Up in the highlands, a quieter Bali.
Air Ilir Grand Villa sits in Wanagiri, a highland village in Bali's north where the island trades beach clubs for forested ridges and cooler air. It's a row of new A-frame cottages with steep timber gables, breeze-block screens and carved Balinese columns, set along a garden path.
Each cottage opens through tall glass doors onto its own small terrace with a pair of rattan chairs, so the morning starts outside, with the greenery in view.
Banyumala Twin Waterfalls is close enough to walk, around fifteen minutes from the door. Breakfast, your waterfall tickets and a two-hour ATV ride are already part of the stay, so all that's left to plan is when to set off.
